[box] Facebook mogul, Mark Zuckerberg, has now stepped up to the plate and hit a home run as a new property owner. At least this is what the rumor mills are now saying, and it appears that these latest rumors of home-ownership are ‘right on the money’.[/box]

Instead of continuing as a long-time tenant in the state of California Zuckerberg has apparently given the ‘old heave-ho’ to the idea of paying rent for someone else’s property. Don’t feel sorry for him though because that ‘old rental property’ is now being leased for almost 8K per month.

Mr. Zuckerberg has invested a smidgen of those massive Facebook dollars in some quality Palo Alto real estate. His new digs reportedly contain more than 5000 square feet of living space and his new house boasts 5 bedroom as well as 5 full baths. There are even 2 half-bathrooms for guests or emergencies.

The home that purportedly belongs to Mr. Zuckerberg is in the Crescent Park area of Palo Alto which means that the Facebook billionaire only has to drive 10-15 minutes to get to work. This was certainly a big factor in his real estate decision.

The property closing was finalized in March and the final price tag is said to be right at $7 million. The home itself appears to be very low-key and the structure dates back to 1903. A huge veranda, outdoor barbecue area and swimming pool are just a few of the features that can be viewed from a distance.

Privacy has been assured with the addition of security walls and thick hedges. The interior of the house includes an entrance hall, family room, enormous dining room and formal living room. Heated floors have been added during an earlier renovation and the kitchen has also been equipped with the finest in high-tech appliances.

The only drawback is that the former owners were still seen in residence recently which means that Zuckerberg may need to send them a ‘poke’ message via his Facebook network.
