You might get a bargain if you can come up with a little cash close to the eighteen-mil mark since Halle is nobody’s fool and doesn’t want to maintain this beautiful Canuck home when there’s no plan to return. For that price, you’d be getting a bargain, complete with a hidden living abode far away from the rest of civilization.

The rustic Canadian home located in Saint Hippolyte, Quebec, Canada, a small town just north of Montreal, with an almost barn-like exterior offers 2,500 square feet of living space. That space includes 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Not exactly up to Beverly Hills standards but, really, how many bathrooms do you need for a family of three?

The vaulted pine ceilings throughout and the huge cinder block fireplace are overwhelmed by the natural woodsy view from the sliding glass doors. You’ll note several wood burning stoves throughout the home and a wall of ‘floor to ceiling’ windows in the kitchen to bring in even more of the great outdoors.

If you’re from anywhere resembling snow country, immediately you think of drafts and the cold through the wall of window. Don’t worry, the house has radiant-heated concrete floors. The open space of the two-bedroom loft doesn’t stop the flow of the warmed air, either.

The upstairs master bedroom overlooks the living room and has access to the upstairs bathroom. The layout is reminiscent of the log cabin look, but more upscale, for the star’s weekend pleasure.

Not being a fan of the cold north wind, it doesn’t look that inviting with winter approaching but it has to be absolute dynamite during the spring and summer months.

One word of caution during the spring, fall and summer months…horse flies. While this writer doesn’t know if this particular area has these giant flying creatures found in Canadian woodland that nibble the legs of their victims, if it does, count me out if you want to go up there any time in the near future.
