Paris Hilton Los Angeles Rental House

[one_fourth]Price: $16,000[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 3,000 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 4[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Bathrooms: 3.5[/one_fourth_last]

You can now live in the home of a reality show queen. That’s right, the people who purchased Paris Hilton’s home for $3,865,000 after it was listed only 10 days, are now willing to share their prize with the public. Originally, they had an asking price of a mere $20,000 a month, but had no one inquiring evidently because today…and today only…you can rent this little honey and be your own celebrity for a mere $16,000 a month.

While the home is beautiful on the exterior, it seems as though the new owners haven’t touched the décor. The listing states the interior is French Regency Hollywood Glamour and the exterior is Spanish. That can only mean they maintained the same décor the tabloid princess originally had in the house. Of course, the photos supplied by the rental agency also are a dead giveaway. It means lots’n’lots of shiny accents and pictures of Miss Paris all over the home.

While I like shiny, especially when I’m in my crown phase, the stripper pole in the middle of the living room is a bit over the top for me. In fact, if this factor rents the home, I’ll “chromize” our similar, but not so shiny pole in the basement to rent out the basement at a tidy sum. The pictures of Paris all through the home are also not my cup of tea, but then, someone loves her or she wouldn’t be the queen of the tabloids.

You could throw a great party outside by the pool, complete with cabanas or bring the entire family in for the weekend since there are four bedrooms in the main house and a separate guest quarters.

It also contains a chrome laden four-poster bed in one of those bedrooms that is quite dazzling and one of the features that might make renting this high cost home worthwhile, if you have nothing better to do with your money and are “hankering” to stay in the same home as a reality show and tabloid queen.

Donald Trump Sells Oceanfront Mansion

[one_fourth]Price: $7,150,000[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 11,200 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 5[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Bathrooms: 9[/one_fourth_last]

[box] The Donald, otherwise known as Donald Trump and his model/trophy wife Melania Knauss recently sold their opulent “Donald Trump” designed home for about 40 percent of the original asking price.[/box]

Initially, he put this flashy Rancho Palos Verde home up for sale at $12,000,000 but begrudgingly accepted the marginal offer of $7,150,000. It’s doubtful he lost money, but one never knows. It wasn’t his most shining hour in real estate deals for the world renown real estate mogul.

While the house has high end decorating and contains only the best construction and building material, it lacked a homey look. In fact, if you only viewed the entrance or the fountain area on the exterior, you’d guess it was a casino. It smacked of commercial and casino glitz.

Perhaps the Donald’s unique taste was the reason other buyers didn’t snatch it up for full price. He should have put a few slot machines in the foyer and a gaming room and he’d have a lot more bids, although they might come from Boyd or Caesar’s Gaming.

The property is in the small huddled group of mansions located just adjacent to the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. It offers an ocean view, wine cellars, a Pilates studio, a panic room and of course, a huge walk in closet with a dressing room.

The interior has dark wood trim, marble or hardwood floors and rising phallic pillars that make you wonder what Trump was compensating for when designing the house. In many of the rooms, you’d swear you were in hotel lobby or executive whale suite of a casino…except that the suite would be homier and less austere.

The closest to homey is the kitchen area that offers a counter for a quick snack and separates it from the breakfast nook that offers an ocean view and from the living room.

Even with the snack bar area, the huge island in the kitchen, with the dark mahogany wood is slightly reminiscent of a check out desk at one of Trumps famous hotel endeavors. It seems the Donald needs to turn decorating over to others if he’s only going to hold on to the house for a short time and wants the highest dollar.

Slash Selling Beverly Hills Mansion

[one_fourth]Price: $9,500,000[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 10,971 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 7[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Bathrooms: 8[/one_fourth_last]

[box] Slash (Guns ‘N Roses guitarist) and wife Perla Hudson plan to sell their home in Beverly Hills, California. When they purchased the house in March 2009, they wrote a check for $7,300,000 and now have it up for sale as a pocket listing for $9,500,000.[/box]

While they did change all the décor, that’s quite a profit for just holding it close to three years. If you aren’t sure what a pocket listing is, it’s a fancy way of saying it’s not on Multiple Listing Service. It protects the owner from curiosity seekers with no intention of purchasing the property.

This quasi-Spanish influenced home has interior that matches. If you like that type of décor, grab your checkbook or local banker and mosey over to see it. It offers dark colors with lots of deep red throughout. The floors are ebony finished adding to the almost depressingly dark interior, but still reflecting the Spanish influence with almost bullfighter tones.

The kitchen is a bright spot in the house for those of us that love to let in the light. It offers the same deep mahogany floors but is a creamy light off white with only a slight splash of bullfighter red sprinkled on the valences. It’s the warmest, friendliest room in the house and looks like the Spanish version of the Waltons should be around the table waiting for Grandma to serve vitals ala burritos.

There’s plenty of oven space for those meals to cook since the kitchen has four ovens. You don’t have to unload the dishwasher right away either; there are four of them available. You just need to buy extra dishes if you’re a bit on the lazy side.

Some of the quirkier decorating choices are a fringe-trimmed sofa adorned with leopard fabric and a crocodile skin table, which may be real crocodile or simply a look-alike material. There’s even a table lamp made from a tiny suit of armor, if animal skins aren’t your fave.

Matt Lucas West Hollywood Spanish Estate

[one_fourth]Price: $2,900,000[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 4,245 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 5[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Bathrooms: 4[/one_fourth_last]

[box] Even though British humor hasn’t fully qualified as a favorite of the American television audience, Matt Lucas decided to take his talents to the California and set up residency in West Hollywood. This British humorist made a huge mark on the moviegoers as both Tweedledum and Twedledee in Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” and more recently as the extremely creepy roommate of Kristen Wiig in “Bridesmaids.”[/box]

The $2,900,000 price for the five bedrooms, three and a quarter baths mini compound might seem a bit if your standards include a pool, but in real estate, it’s all about location. The location is on one of the more desirable areas in West Hollywood and easily within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and anything else you’d want quickly.

The Spanish influence of the balmy area shows in this single story 2,245 square foot main home with a 2,000 plus square foot guesthouse. The main residence has three of the bedrooms and 2.75 baths, while the guesthouse has the other two bedrooms and bath.

The living room of the main house has a vaulted ceiling and includes a fireplace. Even though it might sound like a cozy country retreat, it remains quite formal without loosing the warm friendly appearance. The home has a relatively open design with several rooms separated by a large island of beams and walls in the center.

The kitchen is state of the art and has not only a huge work island with white and black décor, mostly white however with black adding accent to the floor, smoke colored glass faced cabinets and Tweedledum/Tweedledee black and white checkerboard wall tiles. Perhaps these tiles influenced his decision to purchase the home.

The two-story guesthouse graces the back of the property and has the unique feature of a roof top terrace you access via an exterior staircase. The previous owner, Gil Garfield of the 50’s singing fame, used the guesthouse as a studio. Matt Lucas gives no hint of how he intends to use the area.

This well-appointed mini compound is attractive, interesting and worth the money he spent when you consider the area. It seems that one of our newest members of the Hollywood scene got a real bargain for his money.

Nick Lachey And Vanessa Minnillo Settle In Encino

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 6[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bathrooms: 8[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 8,134 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Price: $2,850,000[/one_fourth_last]

[box] Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo recently tied the knot and didn’t waste any time settling down, as they quickly purchased a sensationally beautiful Spanish style mansion located in the hilly Encino district of Los Angeles, California to celebrate their nuptials.[/box]

After years of unmarried bliss, Nick Lachey, the once Mr. Jessica Simpson, now host to “The Sing Off” and Vanessa Minnillo finally made their relationship official and tied the knot. With that move out of the way, it was time to buy a new home, the next step in the Hollywood lifestyle (First you live together, have a baby-optional-get married, then purchase real estate.)

The two opted for a house in the San Fernando Valley by purchasing a $2.85 million dollar Spanish style home located near the Encino Reservoir. There’s plenty of room in this 8,000+ square foot, 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom Spanish flavored mansion, just in case they want to start a family. There will be plenty of extra space for a plethora of little rug rats, and perhaps even an in-law or two.

The interior of this tastefully decorated and dramatic home has vaulted beamed ceilings, fireplaces galore, hardwood floors and lots and lots of stone to make it look like the home of a Spanish viceroy in early America. The intricate arching design set atop stone columns, sets the house apart from the rest, making it a particularly interesting piece of architecture. With a diversity of geometric designs and both rectangular and arched doorways, there’s an abundance of eye candy in this delightfully airy home.

However, the couple needs to purchase new draperies for those dazzling windows. The ones that came with the house look a bit like bed sheets or plain muslin, hung to hide the contents of the empty house from the peering public eyes. While the color and maybe even the material befit the house, the design is less than desirable. The draperies not only have no style, but they dangle and crumple along the floor. Someone needs to call a decorator for some emergency window treatment. Unless of course Ms. Minnillo has an silk thumb for decor.

The kitchen is to die for and the outside sitting areas make you believe there is greenery in heaven. The master bathroom is also just as dazzling as the rest of the house, with a glass enclosed shower and soaking tub clad with the traditional stone that lines the walls of the house. Of all the celebrity homes in this price range, it’s obvious this couple got the most for their money in this exceptionally fabulous , fit for a king (or Spanish Viceroy) home.

Joey Lawrence Lists Encino Home

[one_fourth]Price: $2,599,000[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Size: 8,100 sq ft[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth]Bedrooms: 6[/one_fourth]

[one_fourth_last]Bathrooms: 7[/one_fourth_last]

Lets have a look into the fabulous Encino mansion of former child star turned teen heartthrob, Joey Lawrence, which he recently placed on the market with an astronomical price tag of $2.6 million. Which may not seem like much, to you rich folks…

Grab you’re track-pants and running shoes, because this house is quite sizable, to say the least… Listed as having 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, this 8,100 square foot dream house is stuffed to the gills with luxury living.

This home has it all, including a humongous dream kitchen with an island the size of my car, an over sized dining/living area with towering ceilings, spacious master bedroom with an absurdly large master bath, plus a home gym and theater.

The outside living is equally fabulous, with a plus-sized lap pool, beautiful lounging area, with a picturesque front yard with ample tree seclusion. Located in Encino, California, this beauty is currently on the market, so if anyone wants to go in half with me… Keep dreaming!
