Bruce Willis Lists Cozy Idaho Chalet House
Bruce Willis known for his many action movies, such as “Die Hard” and television roles as a “Moonlighting” detective, recently put his 8,403 square foot Haley, Idaho 200-acre ranch on the market for $15 million.
Even though the price is a bit more than I have in my checking account, by several zeros, you do get a lot of bang for your buck. He bought the property on Flyer Heart Lake with Demi Moore. After the divorce, he kept busy upgrading it, all the time with a healthy checkbook in hand. There are several estimates about the amount of money invested after the purchase but everyone agrees it’s in the millions.

Much of the upgrade occurred on the outside with the addition of several outbuildings including a gym and a guesthouse and massive changes to the landscaping, adding ponds, streams and both a fireplace and pool with a rope swing and water slides. Not only is the pool heated, the decks are too.
The main house replete with a majestic entrance, has 6 bedrooms, 6 ½ baths and a kitchen any chef would love. It contains two dishwashers, two refrigerators, stacked ovens and a stovetop. The rooms are expansive, with stone fireplaces warming the spaces. Even though every room is larger than life, the home has a warm cozy feel that’s created through both the décor and layout.

The master bedroom contains its own fireplace, as do some of the guest bedrooms, and a walk-in closet bigger than many people’s living rooms. While the interior demonstrates the rugged outdoorsy skill lodge look, it also has elegance and an exquisite design. If Willis did all the layout and décor on his own, he could easily compete with any decorator and designer. My guess is that he didn’t.
This expansive estate and house are perfect for the couple who wants to start their very own ski lodge bed and breakfast. They’d have to provide transportation to the lifts, but aside from that, it’s perfect. Willis noted he was selling it since he didn’t go there very much as of recent. With all the other properties in his portfolio, it’s a logical reason.
